Tzadziki Sauce
Description
Perfect with lamb.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces plain yogurt
- 1 large cucumber, peeled and seeded
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Methods/steps
- Drain the yogurt overnight in the refrigerator in a strainer that has been lined with cheesecloth.
- Seed and chop cucumber finely. Drain on paper towels.
- Add cucumber, garlic, oil and vinegar to the drained yogurt.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
