Spinach Tarte
Description
Shamika's Spinach Tart. You can substitue yogurt for the sour cream. You can assemble this in advance, just refrigerate until ready to use. When you are ready, just take out of refrigerator and pop in the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh spinach
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 8 ounces sour cream (or 8 ounces yogurt)
- 4 ounces grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms
- 3 eggs, lighly beaten
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Methods/steps
- Cook spinach until wilted. Drain to remove excess moisture.
- Saute onion until golden.
- Combine all ingredients.
- Pour into 9x13 baking dish
- Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until firm.
