Quick Tomato Cream Sauce
Description
Tired and want a quick and good dinner but not out of a jar? Just whip up this tasty sauce and pour over some tortellini or spaghetti.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 28 oz Italian tomatoes chopped
- 1 6 oz can of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon basil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 ounces light cream
Methods/steps
- In a saucepan saute garlic in olive oil until soft. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomatoe paste, basil and salt and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the light cream and simmer for 10 minutes.
