Pan Seared Filet with Horseradish Sauce
Description
Easy Pan-Seared Filet Mignon with a horseradish sauce. If you don't like horseradish try one of our other sauces.
Ingredients
- 4 beef tenderlion filets
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
Horseradish Sauce
- 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoon horseradish
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Methods/steps
Sauce
- Mix all ingredients together stirring well. Serve at room temperature or chill.
Steak
- Sprinkle fillets with salt and pepper
- Melt the olive oil and butter in a large skillet. (stainless or cast-iron works best)
- Add filets and cook 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired doness is achieved.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to let the juices flow.
- Serve horseradish sauce on the side.
