Oyster Stew
Description
Very easy Oyster Stew. Can be made in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 cups (2 pints) of shucked oysters
- 1 quart milk
- 1 cup cream
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
- 8 saltine crackers,crumbled
- 1 cup celery (sauteed until soft)
- pinch of cayenne pepper
Methods/steps
- Heat milk, cream, butter, crackers,celery, salt and pepper to a medium stock pot.
- Add oysters and cook until oysters curl on the edges.
