Maple Mashed Butternut Squash
Getting tired of mashed potatoes. I love this nutty flavored fall squash recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 butternut squash
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 4 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (Real)
- dash of salt
Methods/steps
- Cut squash in half, remove seeds and membrane. Place both halves face down on a rimmed baking sheet. Add a little water to the bottom of the pan. Bake until squash is tender, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Place butter in a mixing bowl. Scrape out squash and add to the bowl. Add maple syrup and salt. Mash together or puree in food processor.
- Reheat if necessary.
