Green Peppercorn Sauce with Brandy
Description
Green Peppercorn Sauce pairs well with Pork or Beef.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/3 cup chopped shallots
- 2 Tablespoons green peppercorns in brine (drained)
- 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
- 1/3 cup Brandy
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoons cornstarch.
Methods/steps
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shallots, garlic and peppercorns. Saute 2 minutes or until tender.
- Remove from heat. Stir in broth, brandy and mustard. Return to heat. Bring to a boil and cook stirring until mixture is reduced by half.
- Stir together cream and cornsauce until smooth. Add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce. Cook, stirring continually, until thickened.
