Drunk Ham
Description
I'll have my Jack Daniels with my meat-thank you! Ham with a Jack Daniel's Wiskey glaze.
Ingredients
- 4 to 6 pound boneless fully cooked smoked ham half
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
- 1 Tablespoon finely grated orange peel
- 4 to 6 pound boneless fully cooked smoked ham half
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 cup Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
- 1 tablespoon finely grated orange peel
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Methods/steps
- Preheat oven to 325. Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Bake until meat thermometer reaches 140 degrees, about 20 minutes per pound. Do not cover
- Just before ham is done, mix remaining ingredients in a pan and simmer until slightly thickened.
- Take ham from oven. Brush Jack mixture over cooked ham. Bake an additional 20 minutes.
